This Friday, Chicago’s best musical sketch comedy group is throwing a party, and there’s more to this fundraiser at The Spot than the just another all-you-can-drink bar special (the greatest weapon in any non-profit’s arsenal). True to their name, The Cupid Players are looking to shoot romance into the lives of Chicago singles.
The Players are inviting couples to bring their single friends and then “play Cupid” to help them find a match at this mischievous mixer. (Of course, singles are also encouraged to attend on their own and fly solo.) When singles arrive they will receive half of a “conversation heart” and, on their own or with their coupled friends, must mingle to seek out their other half. Enjoy the bountiful sweets table with a dreamy chocolate fountain and then take photos under the romantic balloon arch. Is a better recipe for true, lasting love? No!
When attending, be sure to dress to impress in your finest cocktail attire. I, for one, will be wearing a lace cravat. But don’t worry about this being too formal of an affair. The Cupid Players ain’t fancy, and they know how to party.
But wait, there’s more!
The evening will climax with the announcement of the winner of their Online Auction to Guest Star in a Cupid Players show!
Have you ever been at a Cupid Players show and asked yourself, “What’s it like to be on stage with these rockstars?” This is your chance, Patron of the Arts! Get to CupidPlayers.com and bid on this opportunity before Friday night!
Fun for a good cause. Place your bids, then grab some friends and head for The Spot.
