One Weekend Only: Matter Dance Company presents Revolving Doors

“If I had a choice between watching a baseball game and going to a Matter Dance Show, I would pick Matter Dance. They are that good and that entertaining.
The Dude says it all. And he touches upon why Matter Dance Company is so exceptional. MDC doesn’t just put on wonderful performances, they bring new audiences to an art form often misperceived by the general public as stuffy, boring, and insulated with an offensive air of superiority.
Matter Dance’s mission is to tear that perception to shreds. They exist to grab their audience and hold them on the edge of their seat for the duration. This is the place where people who wouldn’t normally be “interested” in dance learn how exciting and FUN the art of movement is.
I’m proud to represent them and I give their latest concert my highest recommendation. Go see this show!
Twice voted “Best Dance Company in Chicago” in the Chicago Reader Best of Chicago awards, Matter Dance Company grabs you with quick, diverse and engaging pieces designed to offer something for everyone. Their latest summer concert, Revolving Doors, promises to surprise and inspire both dance aficionados and people who aren’t “interested” in dance. See Chicago’s most up-and-coming choreographers and dancers take a look at love, loss, day jobs and showdowns, with a pie fight thrown in for good measure.
